Obscure Momentum Cartoon people A holiday parole I got my hand in the ocean Waiting on a storm Obscure momentum running out This road is winding down There’s a bat in the belfry An echo on the wall Of an eager duality Exposed for what it’s worth Obscure momentum running out This road is winding down There’s flowers on the light house Shelter from the rain I’ve got a chemical reaction Haunting me again Obscure momentum running out This road is winding down. This road is winding down.

Ghost Hotel 03:19
Ghost Hotel The burlap unseen dreaming Of a vagrant mind Paints my eyelids turning On the underside. Every shadow is a memory. Every room is a regret. Lock down at the ghost hotel. Freak out at the ghost hotel. The coldest chill in summer Beads the textured walls. It rattles with the clamor Of a spectral farse. Every floor becomes an ocean. Evert keyhole is a scar. Lock down at the ghost hotel. Freak out at the ghost hotel. Every hallway is an island. Every mirror is a door.

Changing Form A chrysalis is clinging to the car side And we’re rolling on through dawn I catch the sunrise on a butterfly in motion And the mountain comes alive Change – Changing form A gargled stream stumbles through the hillside The hemlocks whisper their reply In my dreams I’m a werewolf on a bad moon Dodging sugarcane and rye Change – Changing form

Jenny 02:40
Jenny She calls me on a Sunday Out of the blue How are you? I’ve been doing great. There’s so much I could tell you There’s nothing I can say It’s funny how it always seems that way I used to see her at parties. See her in bars She never really new that much of me. Now, every time she tells me You mean the world to me I wonder just how shallow that can be. Because it seems there’s no difference Between black Between white Between wrong Between right Would you stay the night? Hey, Jenny, if you’re listening I’m wishing you the best Goodbye, I could not ask for less She’s leaving for New York Leaving for Spain Leaving for Chicago She’s leaving for the highway Between Phoenix and L.A. To me, it’s all the same. Because it seems there’s no difference Between black Between white Between wrong Between right Would you stay the night? Hey, Jenny, if you’re listening I’m wishing you the best Goodbye, I could not ask for less Goodbye, I could not ask for less Goodbye, I could not ask for less.

Tornado 03:41
Tornado Ominous clouds smother the horizon Whispers and corkscrews spiral out Spinning like a tilt-a-whirl Turning like a clock Negative spaces Awkward pressures Tornado coming down Who will save you now? Karma spire Coming my direction Everything is blown into the sky And, it rained all day And, it rained all night Here comes the flood There goes the flood Tornado coming down Who will save you now?

Strange Spark Slow motion turning with the road bend Quiet like a miracle Pliant like a nursery rhyme Staying within scribbled lines Toothpicks in an eyelid vise Let’s go Strange spark Silent now Strange spark Spiral down True distance peeling off the sign posts Caffinated whimsical Amphibious and beautiful Poison like a poppy field Locomotion flesh and steel Let’s go

Trying to Be Still The rushing of the river bend is Floating past the guardrails on this road I pull off too the shoulder The white caps on the water rumble Rustling the flowers It soothes my nerves I plant my feet down in the quiet Trying to be still The turbine in the distance Is cooling off her jets She has grown tired The water line is rising No longer is safe passage No one shouts “Mark Twain!” I’m losing ground & Falling short of buoyant Trying to be still I must have been asleep This must have been a dream My coffee spills Staining the upholstery Another 100 miles and we’ll arrive at some motel and rest our heads Dreaming of the river Trying to be still.

Salamander 03:48
Salamander A soft regeneration of my heart I slither like a salamander Back to the part where I left off Swallowed by a lake Drowning in a fire Crawling outward Sliding slender Climbing back into the womb I’m home to lick my wounds The quick reanimation of my eyes I scurry like a salamander Into the night where I walk on Under belly poison Moist on dry land Crawling outward Sliding slender Climbing back into the womb I’m home to lick my wounds Moist on dry land

Lost? 03:21
Lost? Sometimes it feels like a swarm of bees is all I see In the haze of what’s in front of me. The story is changing The ending is fading I must have Gotten lost along the way And then I feel a slow change coming on Along the lonely ride of where I’m going The story is changing The ending is fading I must have Gotten lost along the way Are you an angel? Sent to save me from myself? I must have Gotten lost along way.

Slow Change 03:40
Slow Change The easier life doesn’t seem so easy when you’re down in it. Quiet and haunting, boundless and wanting more of it Ain’t it a slow change? Ain’t it a slow change? The wildest of spaces The closest of quarters echo sameness No evacuation No explanation here for this Ain’t it a slow change? Ain’t it a slow change?
